Moline Public Library
Moline Public Library is a small local library located in Moline, Illinois and I was tasked with uncovering the main issues of the website and how to improve the overall experience. Local libraries in small towns are the heart and sole of information with each area needing a different solution.
THE PROBLEM
Moline Library and the local community were not able to successfully use their own website. Users struggled to find what they needed and librarians found it difficult to update information or provide their patrons with where to find what they were looking for.
THE SOLUTION
As with many library websites, there is a lot of information that needs to be accessible and varies in priority for their different users. I interviewed their librarians and users to find out what content and user flows were top priority. Along with other research findings, I was able to rework or redistribute the websites entire information architecture and visual structure.

"This project helped me explore new ways of user testing to allow for more efficient navigation and website taxonomy that I have continued to use in my most recent work."
