Over the last 20 years, I have taken on many roles, from print design to digital communication strategist, and even digital creative director. In the past few years, I found another way to extend my passion around digital design and UX which is teaching in the classroom.
I am currently teaching and writing coursework for all of the digital and UX-focused courses while freelancing to continue to help my clients fulfill their digital needs.
As a team lead and digital creative director, I lead all digital creative and strategic initiatives, but also included new business development, managing a team of six, and educating our on-staff print designers on how to successfully translate their skills to digital. I encourage our team to push past common solutions and to evaluate the full problem to help successfully solve our clients' needs. This is something I have brought to the classroom, making sure our students understand how to utilize testing techniques and research to find the heart of each problem they are addressing.
On the personal side, I have a work hard, play hard mentality because when I'm not at work you can find me tackling life as a mother and wife. I also hold a strong passion for running and help infuse this into the next generation by helping start and coordinate our local youth running club.
